Raemi Neils

Raemi Neils is an experienced immigration lawyer who brings her passion for immigration issues to fight zealously for her clients. Her firm specializes in family-based immigration, naturalization, asylum, immigration applications for domestic violence survivors, and removal defense.

Ms. Neils prides herself with bringing a unique holistic approach of compassionate professionalism to all her cases that allows her to develop personable, close-working relationships with her clients while delivering results at a near perfect success rate.

Ms. Neils has been recognized as a leader in the field of immigration law, and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers every year since 2019, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.

An advocate for immigration rights and active in her local immigration community, Raemi regularly provides pro bono services to unaccompanied minors and DACA recipients and conducts legal advisory seminars to undocumented workers through the Coalition of Concerned legal Professionals and the Western Service Workers Association of Santa Cruz and Sonoma Counties.


Elan Henry

Elan Henry has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a minor in Marine Conservation and Ecology from University of Arizona. She has been working for more than two years as an immigration legal assistant. Elan enjoys supporting those who are seeking help in their immigration journeys and being on a team that puts their time, skill, and passion towards ensuring their clients’ well-being. In her free time, Elan enjoys the performing arts, practicing/ teaching yoga, and studying martial arts.


Monica Paredes

Monica Paredes has an undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Ethnic Studies from UC Davis. She is fluent in Spanish with a beginner level understanding of Arabic. Her goal is to always keep clients up to date, feeling understood and most importantly safe. With immigration law, we hear people’s many different stories- sometimes even their life long journeys and it’s nice to know we’ve helped make someone more hopeful that their goals are reachable. Outside of work, you will often find her trying new coffee shops hunting for the best lavender latte or horchata coffee or finding new hiking trails.

Daijah Boo

Daijah is the office goof and can be seen wondering the office begging for attention and snacks. She provides support to clients and especially loves when children come to visit Neils Law. When she’s not in the office working she enjoys hiking, adventuring and being a stereotypical San Franciscan.


Sheila Quinlan

Sheila Quinlan has been practicing immigration law for more than 20 years and is certified as a Specialist by the State bar of California in Immigration and Nationality Law. Prior to that, Ms. Quinlan had experience in the field of criminal defense law. She enjoys re-uniting and solidifying families through practicing immigration law and restoring civil rights to clients who have been deprived of their civil rights. She also enjoys complex nationality issues including restoration of U.S. citizenship. Furthermore, she has extensive knowledge of Canadian and British immigration and nationality law. Ms Quinlan is of counsel and not an employee of the law office. She has been collaborating on a wide variety of cases with the Law Office of Raemi L. Neils. Ms. Quinlan graduated from Northern Illinois University College Of Law in 1994. She holds an undergraduate degree from Reed College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Chicago.
